April 1, 2012, Bushwood Country Club. This report came in over the transom yesterday, so we’re taking a mulligan and running it today.
Hank Haney’s book about Tiger Woods titled “The Big Miss” is No. 18 on the Amazon bestseller list. For over a week, Haney has vigorously defended the book from critics who question a golf coach writing about a former student. Rick Smith, another golf pro and former coach to Phil Mickelson, stated that the book violated the code of player-coach confidentiality. Hank has been on record stating that “they were my memories too” and “I wanted to share my experiences.”
Well, now, it appears that Hank Haney has had a Big Change of Heart, which will be the title of his next book. Apparently, he’s issued a heartfelt “apology” to Tiger Woods on Twitter for writing the book. Tiger apparently tweeted Hank back a warm reply and said he will be sending Hank a pair of military boots to work out in. The two plan on catching up after the Masters and reminiscing about the good times together. It just may be with Tiger in another green jacket!
