The Golf Blog says: Casey Martin, who is famous for winning a Supreme Court case and the right to play with a cart due to his degenerative leg condition (Klippel Trenaunay Webber syndrome), qualified for the U.S. Open at Olympic nearly 14 years after he did the same. Martin sunk a 5 footer for par on the final of 36 holes, in the near dark, to win medalist honors. Afterwards, Martin, who is the coach of the Oregon men’s golf team, said he rarely plays golf (maybe 20 rounds this year) and doesn’t know how he will get ready to play the U.S. Open. He admitted that he is really nervous. Click here for more from ESPN

Charlie Wie, Davis Love, and Tim “Lumpy” Herron also qualified at different sectionals. Spencer Levin and Rory Sabbatini did not, however. More here.

David Duval and Lee Janzen are set to play from their rain-delayed qualifier.
