The Golf Blog says: The Euros may be 4 points down, but Ian Poulter with Rory McIlroy in the anchor match on Saturday put on one of the most impressive displays of birdies in Ryder Cup history. Poulter sunk 5 straight birdie putts to help his team beat Justin Duffner and Zach Johnson, who had yet to lose in the Ryder Cup this year. Poulter, with eyes bulging out of their sockets, looked like a man possessed.

If the Euros can pull off a Brookline comeback on Sunday, Poulter will be the guy who saved the Euro team’s chances on Saturday.
