The Golf Blog says: Johnny Miller reveals a big secret in the October issue of Golf Magazine. The secret, according to Johnny, is that Woods’ people asked Johnny to give Tiger some lessons on short irons 2 or 3 years into his career because, according to Johnny again, Jack Nicklaus told Woods that Johnny was the best short iron player ever.

Johnny says he turned down the offer because he had too many obligations, but that he’s interested in providing help now. Says Johnny: “I’ve been watching him since he was in junior golf. I know all the swings he’s had. I think I could help him get back to his natural swing, not the swing someone else wants him to make. I’m open to helping him.”

It won’t ever happen but, back in 2010, we actually floated the idea of Tiger enlisting Johnny Miller’s help. Read our 2010 blog post. Today we think Tiger might be better served by enlisting Dave Pelz and Dave Stockton to work on Tiger’s wedges and putting, both of which have given him trouble this year.
