The Golf Blog says: Rory McIlroy has said some controversial remarks this week about not fretting about his decision to withdraw from the Olympic Games. He also revealed how lax the drug testing is in golf. He’s been tested only once this year (a urine test), and usually is only tested 4 or 5 times a year.
McIlroy appeared to be calling for greater testing in golf. But he also made the provocative statement: “You can’t really pick up HGH (human growth hormone) in a urine test, so I could use HGH and get away with it.” Presumably, Rory was speaking hypothetically to make a point about the lax testing.
